Important Canopy / Blackboard Dates

Below are the important dates for the UC Canopy rollout.  Please note that some of the dates are tentative.
 
2014
  • May 23 - Disable spring semester (14SS) student enrollments
  • June 2 – 14FS Shell creation 
  • July 8 – Finalize Canopy graphics, tabs, and branding
  • July 25 – Add student enrollments for fall semester (14FS)
  • July 25 – Requests for building block installations for fall semester (14FS) due to LMS Subcommittee of the eLearning Committee
  • Aug 25 – Fall semester (14FS) begins
  • Sept 2 - Create spring semester (15SS) shells
  • Sept 5 - Disable summer semester (14US) student enrollments
  • Dec 15 – Add spring semester (15SS) student enrollment
  • Dec 15 – Requests for building block installations for spring semester (15SS) due to LMS Subcommittee of the eLearning Committee
 
2014 (Proposed Dates)
  • Jan 23 – Disable fall semester (14FS) student enrollments
  • Feb 2 – Create summer semester (15US) shells
  • Apr 13 – Requests for building block installations for summer semester (15US) due to LMS Subcommittee of the eLearning Committee
  • Apr 13 – Add summer semester (15US) student enrollments
  • May 22 – Disable spring semester (15SS) student enrollments

 

Faculty Development

All development opportunities for the summer are currently posted on Faculty OneStop (http://www.uc.edu/facdev/home.aspx). There are currently 4 half-day and 8 mini sessions. There will be additional opportunities in the fall which will integrate faculty use cases and exemplars.

An online, self-paced course is being piloted this summer in Blackboard. The course is currently available to CoN, CAHS and CECH, as well as faculty teaching this summer. Course modules include:
