Poster Printing Best Known Methods

Below is a list of compiled best methods for creating quality posters to be printed. This is by no means a complete list. If you have any suggestions to add to this list please submit a ticket to rxit@uc.edu.

You can find UC branded PowerPoint poster sized templates here.

  1. Avoid using JPEG or GIFF file formats for images and graphics if possible. Use TIFF, BMP, or PNG instead
  2. Make sure to set the size of the slide to the expected printed size. 48" wide by 36" high is recommended but we can accommodate longer lengths
  3. To check for pixelation before submitting your document, use the zoom feature and select 100%. If you see any pixelation, chances are the printed document will have it as well.
  4. When naming the file please use lastname_firstname format.
