How do I VPN and remote desktop onto my office desktop?

  1. Request Remote Desktop Access on your desktop by submitting a ticket to
  2. Connect to UC's SSLVPN (instructions here).
  3. Open Remote Desktop
    • On a MAC:
      • Download Microsoft's Remote Desktop Client for Mac here.
      • Open the Remote Desktop Client
    • On a PC
      • Open Remote Desktop Connection by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking All Programs, clicking Accessories, and then clicking Remote Desktop Connection.
  4. In the Computer field, type the name of your computer that you received in reply to your initial ticket requesting Remote Desktop Access (Step 1).
  5. For the login, use ucads\username for your username and your UC password for your password.
